CHICAGO (AP) — Police say an 8-year-old boy accidentally shot and injured a 10-year-old relative while playing with a gun on Chicago’s South Side.
The older boy was struck in the ribs and hospitalized.
The shooting happened Thursday morning in the Brainerd neighborhood.
Police have not said how the boys got the gun or to whom it belongs.
