Club 41 is back

Starting tomorrow, a popular St. Augustine restaurant and bar is set to serve food and drink for the first in over a year.

Club 41 will be open for business at 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Kirk Hunter is one of five owners who helped purchase and renovate the business about five months ago. The Avon man tells WGIL the business has been touched up, particularly in the kitchen and bar, however, much of the dining area remains the same.

“Our goal is to have customers come in and have the same experience they’ve always enjoyed at Club 41,” Hunter says, “and enjoy some fresh great food, including onion rings and certified Angus beef steaks and a lot of new, creative dishes as well.”

He says the reopening of Club 41 fills a hole that was left after the business closed in July of last year.

“Our owners banded together to buy Club 41 because the community needed a place to get good fresh food and place that was geographically located to serve the community.”

Hunter adds that one of the big additions is an expanded bar to allow more room for people to sit while waiting for a table.

Once open, the business is expected to employ more than 20 people.
