Mrs. Barbara M. Humphrey, 83 of Galesburg, Illinois died Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 1:38 a.m. at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.She was born July 1, 1932 in Henry County, Illinois the daughter of Carl and Mae Joneson Thulin. She married Dale Humphrey May 20, 1951 in Ophiem, Illinois. He preceded her in death October 13, 1997.
She is survived by her two daughters, Angela and Harold “Buddy” Myler of Galesburg and Stacey and Chad Hascall of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two brothers, Charles Thulin of Orion, Illinois and John and Margaret Thulin of Galesburg, five grandchildren, Tisha and Pete Connour, Tiera Stone, Chad Myler, and Cory Myler all of Galesburg, and Troian Hascall of Decatur, Ill. and ten great grandchildren, Jordan, Ty, Ryan, Chloe, Cameron, Calleigh, Donivan, Logan, Monroe and Aria. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Helen Thulin.
Barb graduated from Alwood High School. She was a homemaker, and had also worked for Illinois Power Company and the Spiegel Catalog Store. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015 at Hinchiff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Len Hoffmann will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Alpha Cemetery Alpha, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Harbor Light Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
