Bill Michael Kilburn, 31 of East Peoria and formerly of Berwick, passed away Monday evening, December 7, 2015, at his home in East Peoria. He was born December 20, 1983 at the Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Rex Michael and Rhonda G. Lopez Kilburn.
Bill is survived by his parents, Rex and Rhonda Kilburn of St. Augustine; his fiancé, Letta Bass, her daughter Preslie, and their soon to be born child of East Peoria; one brother, Caleb Kilburn of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Mischa and Scott Waller and their children, Nicholas and Emily of East Peoria and Paeton Kilburn and Johnny Eppers and their son, Gavin of East Peoria; his grandparents Bertha Kilburn of Illinois City, Evelyn Tarango and Art Lopez of Glasgow, and Martin Davis of St. Augustine. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He grew up in the Berwick area and graduated from Roseville High School in 2002. He served in the US Navy on board the USS Carl Vinson as an aviation ordinanceman. Bill worked as a hardwood floor installer. He enjoyed hiking, playing and watching football, especially the Chicago Bears, cooking and eating, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel, 206 N. Washington St., Abingdon, Illinois. His funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the chapel. His father Rex Kilburn and Rev. John Bunch will officiate. Graveside service with military rites will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Glasgow Cemetery in Glasgow, Illinois.
