Police around the state, including in Galesburg, will be actively looking for those driving under the influence from now to the new year to keep roads free of impaired motorists.

From 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. New Year’s Eve area bartenders have a number to call to request a free cab ride home to anywhere in Galesburg city limits.
Alert Cab’s aim is to keep potential drunk drivers off the road.
G&M Distributors President Adam Vitale in a released statement says, “We want all adults who choose to drink, regardless of the occasion, to act responsibly.”
