Mr. Alfred A. Stover, 80, of East Galesburg, Illinois died at 1:20pm, March 4, 2016 at the Heartland Health Care Center, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born on October 6, 1935 in Putnam County, West Virginia to Alonzo and Leona Devore Stover. He married Kay Radabugh in Findlay, Ohio on December 24, 1957. She preceded him in death on September 10, 1983.
Alfred is survived by a son, Steven (and Julie) Stover of Peoria; two brothers, Eldon Stover of Georgia and Ray Stover of Middleport, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Griffith of Bidwell, Ohio; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Stover, and two sisters.
He worked at Gale Products for 16 years and at NAEIR for 11 years, retiring in 1997
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1955 to 1957.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. A private burial will be held Tuesday March 8, 2016. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be left at www.h-p-w.com.
