FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Cullen Gassaway drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Arkansas a 3-2 victory over Eastern Illinois in the last game of a three-game series between the Razorbacks and the Panthers.
Arkansas had tied the game at 2 in the seventh inning Sunday when Jake Arledge’s sacrifice fly scored Michael Bernal. In the ninth, Tucker Pennell singled before Eastern Illinois’ Jason Euler walked three batters, including Gassaway.
The Razorbacks won the series opener 5-2 Friday night while Eastern Illinois won Saturday’s game, 10-8.
Arkansas plays Gonzaga Tuesday and Wednesday, weather permitting. Rain is forecast for both days.
