First team all-state basketball player Megan Axcell of Knoxville has signed a letter-of-intent to continue her athletic and academic career at NJCAA Division II Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Axcell helped lead her Blue Bullet team to a berth in the sectional championship game this past season, as she averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds per game. She is Knoxville’s all-time leading scorer in girls basketball, and is the daughter of KHS head coach Dean Axcell.
