CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago office of the FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in a teenage boy’s death seven years ago.
FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Michael J. Anderson announced the reward Friday. The agency is looking for Luis Macedo, a 28-year-old Oak Lawn man charged with first-degree murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Macedo is wanted in connection with the 2009 death of 15-year-old Alex Arellano. Authorities say he was beaten, shot and set on fire by Latin King street gang members in Chicago.
The FBI says Macedo has ties to the Chicago area and Florida. He has several unusual tattoos, including a crown on the left side of his neck and the words “so many” on the back of his neck.
