Area senior athletes continue to announce their college plans this week. Yesterday, a pair of standout basketball players from Galesburg High School announced their intentions. Ethan Meeker, who is the third leading scorer for the boys in school history, will be going to Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Fellow Silver Streak Lexi Daniels, who is also the third leading scorer all-time for the girls, confirmed that she would be attending Division III Dubuque College in Northeastern Iowa. Daniels signed her letter of intent in a ceremony yesterday at GHS. Coming up tomorrow, swimming standout Rebecca Duncan will make her college choice known, while golfer Jenna Heck will do the same on Thursday.
