The driver killed in Saturday morning’s crash on U.S. 34 near North Henderson Street in Galesburg has been named.
In a news release, Illinois State Police say 30-year-old Jacob R. Lynch is the deceased.
Lynch’s 2004 Honda four door lost control and struck a guardrail around 6:20 a.m. Saturday.
The vehicle then rolled over, ejecting the Galesburg man who was the only occupant. At the scene, heavy debris could be seen scattered in the median and the vehicle completely destroyed.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
