Another round of rain is expected on Saturday, so Galesburg and United Township High Schools have made changes to this weekend’s athletic schedules. The girls softball doubleheader between the two Western Big 6 teams originally scheduled for Saturday will now be played this (Friday) afternoon, beginning at 4 o’clock at GHS. Meanwhile, the baseball twinbill that was to be played tomorrow in East Moline has been postponed, and broken up into a pair of single games on Monday and Tuesday. There are no lights on the Panthers home field, making it necessary to play games on consecutive evenings. At least the weather forecast is considerably better next week, with the return of sunshine and warmer temperatures for the first week of May.
