Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Ann Cordle, 74, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 2:00 am Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born May 1, 1942 in Galesburg the daughter of Harlo and Violet Whittles Miller. She married James Cordle on January 26, 1961 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2003.
Becky is survived by two sons, James and Susan Cordle of Galesburg, and Robert and Rachel Cordle of Minnesota; two daughters, Gayla and Mark Bell, and Robin and Rick Fischer both of Minnesota; one brother, Frankie Albright of Nevada and two sisters, Linda and Tom Edle, and Cindy and Doug Crist both of Iowa; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a great granddaughter Eden Bell.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960 and worked at the Little King Restaurant in downtown Galesburg retiring in 2001. She loved spending time at their cabin in Minnesota with her family, camping at the Mississippi River, boating, fishing, and bowling. She was a member of the Bats and Balls Club in Galesburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel. Cremation will be conducted with a private scattering of ashes at East Linwood Cemetery at a later date.
