ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Wisconsin woman who was killed in a crash in Illinois.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says three vehicles were facing south on Illinois 2 and stopped at a red light just before 2 p.m. Saturday in Rockford when a fourth vehicle rear-ended the third vehicle. The Rockford Register Star reports that three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital.
The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office says 49-year-old Amy Collier of Beloit, Wisconsin, died from her injured just after 4 p.m. Saturday at a hospital.
The others who were injured are expected to recover.
An investigation into the crash in ongoing.
