A native of Galesburg and member of the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall-of-Fame has taken new job in the Quad Cities. 69-year-old Frank Dexter has signed on to be the head coach for the girls varsity basketball team at Davenport West High School. Dexter has previously been a boys coach at Rockridge, Macomb, and Moline–where his Maroon teams won six Western Big 6 Conference championships and posted a record of 244-99. Dexter, who was an all-state player at Galesburg in the 1960’s, was last a head coach in 2006 when he resigned his position at Moline High School.
