
Donald W. Sullivan, 66, of Galesburg, died at 10:50 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at home.
He was born May 15, 1950, in Astoria, the son of Willis W. and Lorene E. (Trone) Sullivan. He married Antonia “Susie” Ramirez on January 14, 1971 in Galesburg. She preceded him in death December 11, 2000.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori (and Mark) Beetler of Greenwood, Indiana; two granddaughters, Megan and Alyssa Beetler; a brother, Charles (and Dianna Poland) Sullivan of Gilson; and a sister, Janice Sullivan of Peoria. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Loren and Mary Trone; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Iris Sullivan.
Donald worked at Bill’s Seat Cover in Galesburg for over 30 years. He graduated from Galesburg High School and attended Knox College and Southern Illinois University. Donald was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church Bowling Team. He was also an active participant with the Cottage Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, where he had many friends.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with funeral services following at 7 p.m. Cremation will be accorded after the funeral service with burial at a later date.
