
Galesburg police are investigating four motor vehicle burglaries that took place in the East Main Street Hy-Vee parking lot yesterday afternoon.
According to police reports, four separate cars were broken into and a number of “small” items, such as phones and cash were taken.
The burglaries are believed to have taken place between 4 p.m and 4:45 p.m. yesterday. All but one vehicle showed signs of being forced open, while the other vehicle’s window was left down.
At this time, authorities say there are no suspects in custody. An investigation is on-going. Hy-Vee surveillance video is expected to be turned over to police investigators to aid in the cases.
