Scotty A. Hollowell, 45, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Galesburg, died at 10:27 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at home.He was born June 20, 1971, in Galesburg, the son of Larry E. and Toni (Wilder) Hollowell. He married Jodi Henson on August 8, 2002 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Jodi; his mother, Toni Hollowell of Galesburg; his dad, Charles Williams Sr. of Galesburg; five children, Rebecca Braun of Tulsa, Christian Williams of Tulsa, Javonte Hollowell of Kewanee, Jessica Snelson of Tulsa, and Jerrick Hulick of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Jeremiah Stanley, Gracie Ringgold, Preslea Drake, Pyper Williams, and Zoey Williams; six sisters, Michelle Williams and Sheila (Reginald) Williams-Edwards, both of Dubuque, Iowa, Jolean (Lamont) Overton-Austin of Davenport, Iowa, Londa S. Hollowell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lisa Williams of Galesburg, and Sydney Williams of Chicago; three brothers, Charles Williams of Galesburg, Tyrone Williams of East Galesburg, and Cary (and Shanel) Williams Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Cisco Zepeda, Devyn Williams, and Eric Hollowell. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry; his grandmother, Helen Hamilton; and a special nephew, Tooter Thompson.
Scotty was raised and educated in Galesburg. He worked in the medical field as a medical tech. He loved his family and especially enjoyed being a grandfather. Scotty enjoyed camping, traveling, and sports, especially football and basketball.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jon Sibley officiating.
