Mrs. JoAnn Y. Fegan, 83, of St. Augustine, Illinois died at 2:55 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her home.She was born May 7, 1933 in Galesburg the daughter of Joseph and Bernice Elizabeth Bates Jacobs.
JoAnn is survived by her three sons, Rodney (April) Fegan of Avon, Illinois, Louis Fegan of St. Augustine, and Roger (Kerry) Fegan of South Carolina; her daughter, Jane (Davie) Powell of Ellisville, Illinois; a son-in-law, Jerry Admire of South Carolina; her two sisters, Shirley Creek of Galesburg and Katherine Trulson of Peoria; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Patrick Fegan in 1999 and her daughter, Ann Admire in 2016.
JoAnn worked for Club 41 Restaurant for 34 years, retiring in 2011. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1951. JoAnn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and stamping.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Babbitt Cemetery in St. Augustine. Pastor Rodney Fegan will officiate. There will be a time for fellowship and a luncheon will be served at the St. Augustine Christian Church following graveside services. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
