The Galesburg varsity football team will make one of its longest road trips in recent memory this weekend as they travel to Marion for a non-conference game with the Wildcats on Saturday at 2pm. The Silver Streaks are on the back end of the home-and-home 2-year contract with the Southern Illinois team, as both schools were struggling to find games to fill their schedules in recent years. Galesburg will enter the game with a mark of 2-0, following wins over Dunlap and LaSalle-Peru. Marion is 0-2, with one loss coming by one point and the other coming in overtime. Marion rallied from a 10-point, fourth quarter deficit to beat the Streaks last year 26-24 at Van Dyke Field.
