Galesburg Silver Streaks Football vs Marion Wildcats

Here is a recap of this afternoon’s game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewit:

“The longest road-trip of the season was worth it on the field for the Galesburg Silver Streaks in a 35-14 win at Marion, that gives Galesburg it’s first 3-0 start since 1982. DeAndre Moren led the way offensively on the ground as the offensive line opened up big holes for him all game long and gave Jacob Ross great protection at quarterback. Moren rushed for 199 yards on 27 carries and had a touchdown.

Tavian Cervantez had two touchdown runs in the game, his first two of the season. He left the game with an injury late and hopefully he appears to be okay as he walked off the field under his own power. Jacob Ross had 16 of 18 completions in the game for 170 yds including a touchdown, one to Jacob Carl who led the way in the receiving core with 7 catches for 93 yards. The Silver Streaks overcame a couple of turnovers to win it big on the road 35-14. They’ll be back on the road next Friday night to open Western Big Six conference play against the Quincy Blue Devils.”

Our Dave’s Autobody Crunch Time Player of The Game was Jacob Carl!
