The Galesburg Community Foundation announced the recipients of its most recent grant cycle this past week.
Forty-one non-profit organizations made the list, including Christmas in Action, Knox Jazz Year, Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank and many others.
GCF provides funding to organizations who are selected for grants. Each cycle varies — this grouping of grants are categorized as competitive grants and do not have an all encompassing set funding. The goal of the foundation is to provide money back into the community.
GCF CEO Josh Gibb says grant requests this year were “diverse and represented areas that make our communities healthier.” Health, education and arts organizations were included among the recipients.
