Bonnie J. Shultz, 86, of London Mills, IL passed away at 3:36 AM Friday November 18, 2016 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born in Galesburg, IL to John L. and Margaret E. (Duncan) Hughs. She married Eldon L. Shultz on January 30, 1949 in Knoxville, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Gerald (Karey) Shultz of London Mills, IL; Greg (Fabiola) Shultz of Yates City, IL; Mark Shultz of London Mills, IL; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great-grandson; three brothers, John (Pat) Hughs, Darrell (Ruby) Hughs, and Jay Hughs.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Bonnie worked as a bookkeeper at various grain elevators in and around the London Mills area for many years. She served as an Election Judge and Township Trustee for Young Hickory Township. Bonnie was a member of the London Mills War Mothers having served as Treasurer and the London Mills Women’s Club having served as President and Treasure.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 23, 2016 at the Corman Memorial Home of Avon where visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in East Midway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to London Mills Fire and Ambulance Service.
