Galesburg Mayor John Pritchard will deliver his annual “state of the city” address tomorrow afternoon.
Like in years past, the speech will be given at the annual Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Pritchard is expected to speak on a number of city occurrences he has cited as “achievements” such as, a $4 million forgivable federal EPA loan given to the city to replace lead service lines and the development of the East Main Street Underpass.
He was also discuss recent development projects happening through private organizations, schools and non-profits.
The luncheon begins at noon. Newly hired chamber executive director Jessica Linder will give the keynote address and an unknown recipient will receive the annual Thomas B. Herring Community Service award.
The event is being held at the Best Western Prairie Inn and Conference Center.
