The Galesburg Silver Streaks suffered their first loss of the season on the road at United Township 41-37. It was the Western Big 6 opener for both teams.
The Streaks committed 23 turnovers and we’re just 13 for 49 from the field including 7 of 26 behind the arc.
Kylee Townsell lead the Streaks with 11 points, 5 rebounds, an assist and 4 blocked shots.
The Dave’s Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game was Megan Lingafelter. She finished with 10 points, with a couple of three pointers and a couple 2 pointers.
The Silver Streaks will be back in action on Saturday when they take on the Metamora Redbirds. That game was originally scheduled for Friday in the Thanksgiving Tournament. Tom Meredith and Erik Gibson will have live coverage on that game on 93.7 FM and 1400 AM WGIL and wgil.com.
