It’s shaping up to be a holiday filed weekend in Galesburg with almost too many yule-tide-themed events to even announce.
Among one of the most popular back again this year is the Holiday House Walk, tomorrow. The event is put on in association with the Galesburg Civic Art Center.
GCAC Executive Director Tuesday Cetin tells Galesburg’s Evening News on WGIL that four houses and Central Congregation Church will be “decked out” with Christmas decorations and treats.
“Central is one stop,” Cetin says. “We have John and Judy Schlaf on Cherry Street is another. We have David and Debbie Clague on West Second Street, Jay and Ross Anderson at Willard Street has also opened up their home and they have just completed a renovation so that’s pretty exciting. Also, Connie Clague on Prairie Street. She’s kind of known for her collection.”
The walk is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meanwhile, other fundraising events tomorrow include the Christmas Cookie Walk at First Christian Church, CASA of Knox County’s “Country Christmas,” Santa Lucia Fest at Covenant Church, the Galesburg American Legion’s “Mistletoe Market” and Choral Dynamics’ “Christmas at the Movies,” which runs through Sunday.
