
Galesburg police are investigating a shooting that took place in the 500 block of East Fremont Street, yesterday.
According to a report from a GPD, a Galesburg man awoke around 4:30 a.m. inside his residence, after hearing a loud noise.
A bullet broke a front window and lodged into drywall in the living room, not far from the man’s bedroom where he was sleeping. At the scene, police found a total of five shell casings in the roadway directly in front of the house.
Neither neighbors nor the man gave any indication of the suspect or suspects that could have fired the shots.
There were no injuries reported. An investigation is ongoing.
