Galesburg Silver Streaks Girls Basketball vs Moline Maroons

The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team had their highest offensive ouput of the season with a 62-47 win over the Moline Maroons tonight at John Thiel Gym.

It was Kaylah Townsell dominating on the stat sheet with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block for the senior guard. It was Saige Milroy adding 12 points on 4 3-pointers for the Streaks who went 9 for 22 behind the arc.

Kaylah was tonight’s Dave’s Autobody Crunchtime Player of the Game.

The Streaks are now 7-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Western Big 6 conference. Moline falls to 4-3 on the season and 1-2 in the conference.

After a tough night Tuesday night with over 20 turnovers, they finished tonight with only 12 turnovers against the Marooners. Moline committed 16 turnovers and they went 0-10 from behind the arc.
