The Galesburg Boys Basketball team got off to a bit of a slow start at the Taylorville Holiday Tournament but finished well and defeated Dunlap in their opener 59-45. That snaps a three game losing streak for the Silver Streaks as they improve to 7-4. Three players scored in double figures led by T.J. Pendleton with 15 as well as Jacob Ross and our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game Jacob Carl each finished with 11. Ross was the leading rebounder with 9, Carl had 8, and Pendleton had 6 as the Streaks out rebounded Dunlap 38-19 in a dominating statistic.
Silver Streaks now move on to play Rochester in their second game at Taylorville. We will have the pregame for you tomorrow at 11:40 am with a noon scheduled tip off on 93.7 FM and 14000 AM, WGIL.
