As expected, there have been three games, and three blowout victories for the Galesburg High School girls basketball team so far at the Mattoon Holiday Tournament. The latest Streaks’ victim is Decatur MacArthur, in a 61-37 rout Wednesday morning.
Emily Meinert led GHS in scoring with 10 points, and added 7 rebounds in the victory. Saige Milroy and Ellen Junk contributed nine points apiece, while Dave’s Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game Kylie Townsell had five points and eight rebounds.
Coach Evan Massey said the girls will spend the afternoon having a good meal, resting, and having a Christmas gift exchange, before playing again tonight at 8:30. We’ll have the broadcast at about 8:15 on WGIL.
