Here’s a re-cap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Tom Meredith:
The Galesburg Silver Streaks fell to the Moline Maroons, 44-32. With the loss, the Streaks drop to 21-6 on the season and 5-3 in the Western Big 6 conference. Moline picked up their 15th win and are now 4-4 in the conference.
The Streaks jumped out to an early 17-6 lead after the 1st Quarter but only scored 15 points the rest of the way and were outscored 17-3 in the second quarter. The Streaks only scored 12 points combined in the 3rd and 4th quarters with only 4 baskets, a couple of threes and a couple of twos and 2 free-throws.
Streaks were only 5 for 24 from behind the arc and got out-rebounded 37 to 20. Saige Milroy had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals and she was our Dave’s Autobody Crunchtime Player of the Game.
Streaks will take on the Stillman Valley Cardinals in the Galesburg shootout coming up Saturday afternoon at 3:30 with a 3:10 pre-game.
