Here is a recap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:
“A disastrous 3rd quarter at St. Charles East, helped lead to a Galesburg loss to the Fighting Saints, 61-46, to wrap up a split of their road games over the weekend. Galesburg shot a disastrous 2/16 from the field in the 3rd quarter, as the Saints opened up a 3-point halftime lead, lead by 15 in the 3rd quarter, and went on to their 61-46 victory.
“DeAndre Moren and T.J. Pendleton each tied for scoring honors with 13 to lead the Silver Streaks. Moren was our Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game as much as anything for his defensive job, that he did on leading scorer Justin Hardy for the Saints, who still scored 15, but below his season scoring average. Pendleton also lead the way for the Streaks with 9 rebounds. Galesburg is now 15-12 on the season, they’ve got a single game coming up next week, Moline on Friday night for a conference game and then a Saturday night off as it’ll be Sweetheart Swirl at Galesburg High School. The final once again from St. Charles East tonight, 61-46 Saints defeat the Silver Streaks, and St. Charles East improves to 15-7.”
