Mary I. Mesecher, 86, of Galesburg, died at noon Friday, April 14, 2017 in Rosewood Care Center.
She was born October 8, 1930, in Galesburg, the daughter of Clyde and Stella (Harding) Van Winkle. She married Charles Brockunier in 1949 in Galesburg. She later married Edgar A. Mesecher in 1957 in Quincy.
She is survived by her son, Dwayne (Sue) Mesecher of Galesburg; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Willie Williams, a sister, Alice Collinson, two sons, Harry Brockunier and Terry Brockunier and a grandchild.
Mary graduated from Galesburg High School in 1948. She lived most of her life in Galesburg. She worked at Maytag for 42 years, retiring in 1993. She was of Methodist faith.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mary Runge officiating.
