The Galesburg District 205 school board hired former Streak Jeremy Pickrel to take over as head baseball coach next season. Jeremy played baseball and basketball for the Streaks prior to a stint in the Minnesota Twins organization. He became head baseball coach at Abingdon-Avon and most recently coached junior high baseball and basketball at United. He also spent this past season as an assistant coach for the Carl Sandburg College baseball team. Jeremy joined Tom Meredith and Jim Lee on “Galesburg’s Morning News”.
