Mr. Malik Andre Williams, 25, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 9:45 am Friday, June 9, 2017 in Moline, Illinois.
Malik was born October 10, 1991 in Monmouth, Illinois. He is survived by his mother, Gloria Mims Williams of Galesburg; his two sons, Jaden Andre Gean Williams and Joziah Andre Xavier Williams both at home; his special friend, Heather Holmes of Knoxville, Illinois; two brothers, Timothy Bell and Nigel Williams both of Galesburg; four sisters, Sherry, Natalie, Corrine and Shamara Williams all of Galesburg five nephews, Dakota Williams, Christian Payne, William McAlister, Rome Lopez and Kingston McAlister and two nieces, Torra Lopez and Zaela Bell.
Malik worked for Dick Blick Art Supplies for the past two years. He had also worked for the Henderson Street McDonalds. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed boating and gardening. He attended Galesburg schools and was on the wrestling team in high school. Malik was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. John H. Mims will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 pm Wednesday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to establish an education fund for Malik’s Children, c/o of F & M Bank.
