Mrs. Esther L. Folger, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died 5:28 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born July 24, 1935 in Monmouth, Illinois to Earl and Estella A. Tarr Beckner. She married Frank E. Crocker September 12, 1951 in Monmouth. She later married Don D. Folger October 31, 1984 in Galesburg.
Surviving is a daughter, Pamela (and Kevin) Webber of Galesburg, a brother, David (and Cheryl) Beckner of Tucson, Arizona, a sister, Nancy (and Jim) Ricketts of Monmouth, grandchildren, Noah Webber of Arvada, CO, Josh Webber of Galesburg, her Furbaby, Snoopie and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son Eugene R. Crocker.
Esther was a homemaker. She also worked for the former Belscott’s Department Store in Galesburg. She enjoyed family, and her interests were angels, dogs, crossword puzzles, bunco and Christmas décor. She was a member of the Covenant Church in Galesburg and the Humane Society.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Greg Dungey will officiate. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery, Monmouth. Memorials may be made to Knox County Humane Society or Diabetes Association.
