Ruthann Williams, 79, of Galesburg, died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, at home.
She was born October 26, 1937, in Scott County, Illinois, the daughter of Ray B. and Caroline “Alma” (Nortrup) Williams.
She is survived by three nieces and a nephew, Terri Riddell of Woodhull, Bobbie Carpenter of Canton, Jackie Williams of Manito, and Chuck Williams of Woodhull and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Riley Williams and Chuck Williams Sr.
Ruthann was raised in Fiatt, graduating from Cuba High School in 1955. She earned her associate’s degree in 1972 from Mayfair College. Ruthann was a registered nurse, working at Normandy House in Wilmette for 27 years. She retired in 1999 and moved to Galesburg after living in the Chicago area for 40 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Prairie City Cemetery. Rev.
