
Mr. Curtis O. Cunningham, Jr. 33 of Tampa, Florida formerly of Galesburg, Illinois died at 1:31 am Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Tampa General Hospital.
He was born July 28, 1984 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Curtis O. and Sheila Miller Cunningham.
He is survived by his parents, Sheila Cunningham of Tampa and Curtis (Donna) Cunningham, Sr. of Galesburg; his sister, Shakeé Cunningham of Galesburg; his brother, Isiah Cunningham of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandmother, Dorothy Jo Flowers of Conway, Arkansas and several aunts and uncles, cousins and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ola Mae Cunningham and his grandfather, Fred Miller.
Curtis loved working as a barber for the past six years. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 2002. He attended Blackhawk and Carl Sandburg College and later received his barber certificate in Tampa. Curtis was a great athlete and loved playing baseball, basketball and football. His favorite sport teams were the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, White Sox and Yankees. He loved listening to music, playing video games, his computer and cutting hair. Curtis attended the Second Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for Noon, September 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnnie Trammell Goodson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-Noon Saturday at the church.
