GHS Volleyball drops home opener to Quincy

Last night the Silver Streaks girls hosted the Quincy Blue Devils for their home opener but would fall in two matches 25-18, 25-10. 

It was a tough night for the Streaks who only had eight service points in the opening match.

The loss gives GHS a record of 1-1 on the still very young year.

AREA VOLLEYBALL SCORES:
The Orion Chargers beat the Knoxville Blue Bullets 25-15, 25-16.
The Williamsfield ladies defeated Peoria Heights with matching 25-18 scores.
Putnam County over ROWVA 25-19, 25-12.

SOCCER
The Silver Streak boys weren’t able to get a win against Peoria Christian yesterday, but they did manage to end their game in a tie.

Randy Bile scored the lone goal for the Streaks who improve to 3-1-1 on the year.

TENNIS
GHS Silver Streaks varsity girls fell in all nine matches to Quincy 9-0 – where as the JV squad managed to get one win out of the eight played, finishing 1-7

SWIMMING/DIVING
The SIlver Streaks swimming and diving team had a tough afternoon against Dunlap, losing 139-46
