Josie F. Hebbeln, 71, of Monmouth, passed away at 9:04 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her home.
She was born on November 22, 1945 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Nellie (Sprague) Williams. Josie was raised and educated in Davenport and attended Davenport Schools, later graduating from Harley’s Beauty School in Rock Island, IL.
Josie married Don V. Hebbeln on January 3, 1975 in Rock Island, IL, he survives.
Josie worked at Warren Achievement for over 25 years as an in house caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, playing cards, and an occasional trip to the casino.
Surviving Josie is her husband, Don Hebbeln of Monmouth, three sons; Todd (Julie) Hebbeln of Missouri, Scott Hebbeln, Randy (Tammy) Hebbeln of Silvis, IL, two daughters; Kris (Jim) Pierce of Cameron, IL, Sherry (Rich) Peters of Port Byron, IL, two step daughters; Ann (Scott) Lybarger of Galesburg, IL, and Erica Hebbeln. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Nicole (Rob) Gaffny, Randy (Erica) Hebbeln, Ryan Hebbeln, Kristin (Andy Putnam) Hebbeln, Jade Burkett, Valorie (DJ) Gant, Tana (Brandon Lee) Pierce, Alicia Pierce, Karissa Pierce; step grandson, Brandon Lybarger, several great grandchildren, and one sister, Stella Eckhardt of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Jimmy Williams.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family graveside service will be at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Memorials can be made to the Josie Hebbeln Memorial Fund.
