
Rose Marie Fay, 82, of Oneida, died at 4:48 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, with family by her side.
She was born December 8, 1934, in Galesburg, the daughter of Michael F. “Frank” and Helen G. (Wooden) Moran. She married Dean L. Fay on April 6, 1955 in Galesburg.
She is survived by two sons, Donald M. (and Gail) Fay of Kankakee and Dale L. (and Kelly) of Livonia Michigan; a daughter, Debra S. (and John) Bloss of Altona; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.
Rosie worked for APAC teleservices where she was employee of the year in 1997. She attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altona. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a die-hard Cubs fan. She also loved watching the Bulls.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel with Rev. Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception to follow celebrating Rosie’s life at Bethel Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to family wishes.
