Pregnant woman believed to be among 4 slain in Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) — Four people, including a woman police believe was pregnant, have been shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle in Chicago.

Chicago police say the four were inside a vehicle on the city’s southwest side Friday evening when rifle fire erupted from a nearby SUV.

Police say officers responding to a call of shots fired around 8:30 p.m. found the four dead in the vehicle.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as 21-year-old Michelle A. Cano, 24-year-old Joel Sandoval, 27-year-old Miguel Sandoval and Ida Arvizu, whose age was not immediately known.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said one of victims was believed to be pregnant, but police won’t know for sure until an autopsy has been conducted.
