Mrs. Audrey J. Sandall, 89, Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:20 am Friday, September 22, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born January 12, 1928 in Galesburg the daughter of Arthur and Delia Hurt Harrison. She married Albert F. Sandall on November 4, 1945 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death May 26, 1993.
Audrey is survived by her son, Layton (Nancy) Sandall of Galesburg; three brothers, Jim Harrison (Dottie Lovell), Art (Beverly) Harrison and Ed Harrison all of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Doug, Missy, Joe, Tierney and Carolyn and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Jennifer Sandstrom November 2015 and an infant daughter.
Audrey worked in retail for several years. She volunteered at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital Gift Shop for many years. She graduated from Galesburg High School. Audrey enjoyed reading and playing cards. She also loved to needlepoint, knit and cross stitch.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at East Linwood Cemetery with Pastor Rob Sandstrom officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Community Foundation or Hospice Compassus. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services are handling arrangements for the family.
