Payton Florine led the Tornadoes with 13 kills and 2 aces. Courtney Moore had 12 assists and 3 blocks. Charli Johnson had 9 digs while Kaylee Palmer racked up 7 points.
Brimfield was lead by Kamryn Cuevas who notched 14 points, 12 kills, and 4 blocks. Emily Doty was Brimfield’s aces leader with 5 while Mallory Meinke had 18 assists. Ellie Graham had 17 digs.
Abingdon-Avon sits at a 7 and 13 record and is 3 and 5 in conference play.

GIRLS GOLF
Eire would sweep the triangular with Mercer County and Mid-County yesterday.
Erie notched a 180 while the Golden Eagles had a 207 and Mid-County did not field a full team – so no team score was given.
Madison Newton of Erie earned medalist honors carding a 42.
Riley Redell had a 43 and Mid-County’s Elizabeth Whitford shot a 45.
BOYS SOCCER
Coming up in two weeks is the Galesburg Regional. Peoria Notre Dame will face Orion, while Galesburg takes on Geneseo.
JR. HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL
The 7th Grade Churchill girls fell to Abingdon-Avon 28-22.
The Blue Streak’s were led by Cayman Milroy who racked up 11 points, while Parker Cash had 6. Churchill’s record sits at 6-2.
The 8th graders faired better.
They defeated A-Town 29-21. Abby Davidson was the top scorer with 11 while Abby Lingafelter while Abby Lingafelter had 9.
Churchill will be on the road Thursday against Sherrard
COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER
Knox College would not get the win yesterday, but they didn’t lose either.
They tied with Wartburg 1-1 after 90 minutes of play.
Erick Karfut put the Prairie Fire on the board in the 12th minute, and 9 minutes later Wartburg’s Jakub Rys tied it up.
