The Galesburg Silver Streak’s season is over after being swept by Richwoods 29-27, 25-21 at the Monmouth-Roseville Regional.

The first set saw Galesburg taking a strong, early lead – keeping it close before the Knights got the lead needed to shut down the Streaks.

Set two went the opposite direction – with the Knights getting off to a quick start and taking a 6-1 lead.

The Streaks would battle back and tie the match on several occasions, but it was not enough to keep Richwoods from taking the match.

Yvonne Mixon had eight kills and three blocks while Hannah Huppenbauer racked up nine blocks and six kills to lead Galesburg’s efforts.

Maddie Carlson dished out 12 assists and two aces. Emily Meinert had ten digs, while Macy Bland added seven.

The Silver Streak girls ended the season at 14-17.
