Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball vs Peoria Notre Dame Irish

Here’s a recap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

Tonight produced a successful opening for the Galesburg boys basketball team in a 51 – 41 win over Peoria Notre Dame. The Silver Streaks led by as many as 12 in the first half, 10 at the half 30-20, and then scored the first 7 points in the 3rd quarter, to open up a 17 point lead and kept that lead in double-digits the rest of the way.

Jacob Carl was named the Dave’s Autobody Crunch Time Player of the Game, sparking that 3rd quarter run to open up the lead. He had a career-high, at least on the varsity level, with 14 points and finished with 8 rebounds. Khalil Hodge also had 8 rebounds and he was in double-figures with 10, as was  Andrew Anderson.

One other game in the Thanksgiving Tournament was played in Rockford where Moline was a big winner over Rockford Lutheran, 77-56.
