Marjorie K. Trout, 79, of Cameron, IL died at 10:52 pm Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born June 12, 1938 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of William Carl and Cathryn Love (Gettemy) Olson. She was raised in rural Monmouth and Cameron. Marjorie graduated from Galesburg High School in 1955. She later received her Associate of Arts Degree from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.
Marjorie married Walter C. Trout at the First Christian Church in Galesburg on January 26, 1957 and he survives.
Marjorie was a homemaker and mother. She was an avid reader, supported several worthwhile charities and was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her husband, Walter C. Trout of Cameron, IL; 6 children, Curtis C. Trout of Normal, IL, Cynthia K. Trout of Spanaway, WA, Charles C. (Debra) Trout of Waukegan, IL, Clifford C. Trout of Cameron, IL, Christine R. (Ronald) McGettrick of Normal, IL and Clarence C. Trout of Cameron, IL; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother, William Carl Olson, Jr. of Cameron, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Cathryn Trout Truitt.
Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 25, 2017 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. A private family burial in Silent Home Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Carl Sandburg College.
