Helen V. Boock, 97, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:08 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her home.She was born Oct. 12, 1920 in Lingle, WY, the daughter of Harry and Bertha (Wyckoff) Korb.
Helen married Karl Boock on Nov. 5, 1939 in Toas, NM, and he died March 26, 1977.
She assisted her husband in the operation of Boock Garage for 10 years. She later worked at Berstead Hobby Craft for several years.
Helen was a member of the First Christian Church, the Keenagers Club at the church, Community Medical Center Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, the local unit of AARP and she served on the Board of the Strom Center.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Mary) Boock of Monmouth; 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Steve Boock & Charles Boock; 1 daughter, Verda Boock; 2 brothers, Howard Korb and George Korb; 1 sister, Sarah Roselle.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.
