Here’s a re-cap of tonight’s game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

After a disappointing game earlier in the day in a 3-point loss to Sterling, Galesburg came back and didn’t play the best game of the tournament but found a way to end on a positive in a 49-43 win over Dunlap.

It was a grinding game, methodical, back and forth with not a lot of energy throughout the first 3 quarters with 12 lead changes and 9 ties. When Galesburg took the lead, at 34-33, the Streaks never relinquished the rest of the way.

Khalil Hodge had a big 4th Quarter as he led the Streaks in scoring with 16 with 10 of those points coming in the 4th Quarter as he earns our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game. Cornell Dotson also finished in double-figures with 10.

Silver Streaks’ improve to 12-3 on the season as they take 3rd place at the Taylorville Holiday Tournament.

Streaks’ next game comes up on January 4th against Rockford-East in Galesburg’s own Martin Luther King Jr. Tournament.
