Mrs. Edna E. Roberson, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Unity Point Health Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Illinois.She was born July 10, 1930 in Louisville, Mississippi the daughter of Edward and Essie Clark Harrington. She married Claude Fair Roberson on July 16, 1946 in Louisville, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1999.
Edna is survived by her son, Jerome Roberson of Cerritos, California; her sister, Ada Nichols of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers; and four sisters.
Edna worked in the housekeeping department at the Knox County Nursing Home for 22 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.
